What
is coaching?
Coaching is a
partnership between a coach and client (lets say "you") whose main purpose
is your success and well-being. A coach's role is to bring out your best
and to provide ongoing support for your personal and professional development
and achievement. Coaching often involves gaining insight into what is
most important to you in terms of lifestyle, values and goals to develop
a personalized plan of action to make your aspirations and dreams a reality.
How long
does it last?
The duration
of coaching depends upon individual needs and/or requirements. A coach
can be hired for a specific project or for an unlimited period of time.
Generally, we recommend a three month commitment to establish a relationship
and to gauge progress over a period of time.
How does
it work?
You come ready
and willing to create the life that you want. We meet to get to know each
other and to discuss the goals and desires you want to realize in your
life. You are matched up with a coach to discuss how the coaching will
work. Typically, a coaching session lasts for 30-60 minutes each week,
during which you will develop an action plan that you will carry out.
The coaching will focus on areas of your choosing: career, relationships,
health, finances, home, etc.
How much
does it cost?
Coaching
fees are most often billed on a monthly basis but can also be arranged
on a special project basis. The monthly coaching fee is a "retainer"
fee, not an hourly fee. This means that the coach is available to the
client between sessions, if need be, for brief communication. The coaching
fees range in price depending upon how much coaching time is involved
and whether the client is paying individually or is part of an organization
that has contracted for the coaching. Generally, the monthly coaching
fee for an individual ranges in price from $400-600. For $400, a client
would receive four(4) forty-five minute coaching sessions per month, and
for $500-600, four(4) one-hour coaching sessions per month(the $600 fee
refers to a few highly specialized coaches). The coaching fees for an
individual in an organization are higher and are often an established
fee set by the organization.
Coaching is also available
on a special project basis for situations that require unique attention
that is not served effectively by the monthly coaching format. Special
project fees as based on a hourly fee and are designed to meet the client's
particular requirements.
